5+ Upcoming Mahindra SUVs Spotted Testing in India for 2026 Launch
Mahindra & Mahindra is all set for a massive expansion in its SUV lineup, with several exciting new models expected to hit Indian roads by 2026. The homegrown automaker is targeting multiple segments with both petrol-diesel and electric variants, aiming to strengthen its presence across price points. Spy images and official previews have started to reveal what customers can expect soon.
Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Arriving Early 2026
The flagship XUV700 will receive a mid-cycle facelift packed with design and tech updates. Exterior changes include redesigned LED circular headlamps replacing the current sleek clusters, a revamped grille with more slats, and a sharper bumper design. Inside, Mahindra is introducing a three-screen dashboard layout for enhanced infotainment and driver display, along with features like ventilated front and rear seats, a Harman Kardon sound system, and an upgraded Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The powertrain lineup remains unchanged, featuring the 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines with manual and automatic gearbox options.
Compact XUV 3XO EV and Hybrid Variants
Positioned below the XUV400, Mahindra is developing the XUV 3XO compact SUV in both electric and hybrid forms. The XUV 3XO EV is expected to offer two battery packs with a claimed range exceeding 450 kilometers, enhancing its city and highway usability. The hybrid variant will provide an efficient alternative for buyers looking for moderate electrification.
Rugged BE 6 Rall-E Electric SUV
A more off-road-oriented version of the BE 6 electric SUV, known as the BE 6 Rall-E, is slated for launch mostly in 2026. Featuring aggressive styling cues like heavy cladding, round headlights with LED DRLs, and sporty rear design elements, it aims to cater to adventure enthusiasts. It is expected to be powered by a dual-motor setup delivering around 389 bhp and 480 Nm of torque.
XEV 7e Three-Row Electric SUV
Inspired by the XUV700, the XEV 7e will be a premium three-row electric SUV launching in late 2025 or early 2026. It will come with options for 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs, including an all-wheel-drive dual-motor variant. The vehicle promises a luxurious interior with a triple-screen layout, Harman Kardon audio, and advanced safety features like Level 2 ADAS.
Visionary SUVs Based on NU_IQ Platform
During the Independence Day 2025 event, Mahindra unveiled a new modular multi-energy platform called NU_IQ, which will underpin an upcoming generation of SUVs starting from 2027. Four concept SUVs—Vision S, Vision T, Vision X, and Vision SXT—demonstrate future design philosophies, combining ruggedness with sophistication. The Vision S concept is expected to evolve into a sub-4 metre SUV that might share engine options with the XUV 3XO, positioning it just above the compact model.
Future Electric and ICE Models
Besides these, Mahindra plans to electrify some of its legacy nameplates. This includes the much-anticipated Thar EV and a Scorpio N based pickup truck aiming for future market debuts. Together, these initiatives reflect Mahindra’s ambitious transition toward electric mobility while continuing to strengthen its combustion engine SUV portfolio.
This summary highlights Mahindra’s massive SUV launches coming soon, blending innovative electric models with updated combustion options that cater to diverse customer needs in India. The upcoming SUVs promise modern features, rugged capabilities, and increased choices in clean mobility, marking an exciting chapter in Mahindra’s journey.
